Resolved Question: Looking for an inexpensive wedding cake?

Hello, i'm looking into buying a wedding cake for my wedding in March of 2011. However, I have kind of a small budget. We are inviting 300 people so I'll need a serving size of 300. I have heard to buy a smaller "for looks" wedding cake, then have sheet cake to serve in the back kitchen. If I were to do something like that, I would want the sheet cake to taste like the real cake, not just a gross sheet cake. So my budget is around $600 max. I am just having trouble finding a great bakery thats inexpensive. I am also okay with anyone that knows of someone who makes wedding cakes out of their house and could handle 300 serving size.
