Resolved Question: What are some good professional networking groups/associates/orgs for accountants?

I'm not a college student, so please don't suggest college programs lol. I live in Virginia beach/Hampton roads. I have an accounting job right now but it's crappy, and I read somewhere that going to networking events is a good start to getting an in someplace good. Does anyone know of any organizations/socities/groups that are national (or at least have events near me) that I could go to? FYI I am an accountant, not a CPA.
