Resolved Question: Norfolk Virginia... Yea or No?! Need a Navy base in va.?

It's PCS time.. I was thinking Virginia-Navy. Which best is best for shore duty? Housing or town? We have two boys... I want nice & safe area, lots to do, good schools and shopping :) I was thinking of Hampton Roads area...VaBeach? Chesapeake? Norfolk? Hampton? Which one is best? I dnt knw anything abt area. my response to 1-4: Wow!! Laughter!! I am currently in pearl harbor, I'm from Memphis. I need a base where he can do shore and sea. Va isn't too far from home. I thght abt San Diego... The cost of living is high like out here. Hmm... Well I'm open for suggestions on bases elsewhere .
